- Medically-related challenges: Some couples have some medical-related issues that can cause some reasons for the delay such as endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids, low sperm count in men, and abnormalities of the uterus caused by previous surgeries or scarring can impair fertility. and other illnesses left untreated, (including kidney disease, untreated celiac disease, thyroid disease, and sickle cell anemia in men), may also affect pregnancy chances.
- Male infertility: Some of the infertility issues are not only limited to women, but we also have some factors as regards underlying male problems such as an inherited disorder, hormonal imbalance, dilated veins around the testicle, or a condition that blocks the passage of sperm et cetera.
- Irregular menstrual cycles: If your cycles are irregular — due to hormonal imbalances like PCOS, weight issues, or previous or present medications it will be difficult to track your ovulation periods which will also make it tougher to conceive or track your chances of being pregnant.
- Exposure to environmental toxins. Some research has shown that prolonged exposure to pesticides, pollutants, and industrial chemicals, in either our homes or workplaces can affect couples negatively such as their sex life, and causes some infertility.
